Talal Chaudhry emerges victorious after 5 years of disqualificationBreaking

August 02, 2023

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Talal Chaudhry has completed a five-year disqualification sentence from the Supreme Court. In a tweet on Wednesday, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb congratulated Chaudhry on his release, saying that he had served his sentence "for his ideological commitment, loyalty, and love to PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the party." Aurangzeb said that Chaudhry was now eligible to contest elections, but that those who had "unjustly punished" him had become "ineligible for life" in the eyes of the people and history.

"Today, Talal Chaudhry has emerged victorious not only in his conscience but also in the 'court of time' and in the eyes of people," she said. However, Aurangzeb said that Chaudhry's release was a "moral victory" for the PML-N and that it would "boost the morale" of the party's supporters. "Talal Chaudhry is a symbol of the PML-N's struggle against injustice," she said. "His release is a reminder that the truth will always prevail."
