Official record has made stunning revelations regarding privileges offered to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees. The national airline is currently going through an annual loss of 112 billion rupees. As per official documents available with INP news agency, the highest salary of PIAs permanent pilots is more than 20 lakh rupees per month, while the minimum salary of an employee is 50 thousand rupees, besides free air travel and medical treatment facility for all employees, one vehicle for use on the company's charter for all directors and general managers.

In accordance with details, there are 15 groups in PIA, the lowest of which is group I getting Rs50,000 per month followed by group II having average salary of Rs64,516 and maximum salary of Rs1,96,000 per month. The maximum salary of aircraft engineers is more than Rs11,00,000 and minimum salary of Rs1,96,000. The average monthly gross salary of aircraft engineers is 4 lakh 2 thousand 95 rupees.

The maximum salary of cabin crew is Rs3,68,000 and the minimum salary is Rs23,000 per month. The average monthly gross salary of cabin crew is Rs,1,69,070. The average salary of category three (admin) is more than Rs70,000 and the maximum salary is Rs98,000. The average salary of category three (technical) is more than Rs59,000 and the maximum salary is Rs90,000. The average salary of category four (admin) is more than Rs77,000 and the maximum salary is more than Rs1,81,000.

The average salary of category four (technical) is more than Rs71,000 and the maximum is more than Rs1,23,000. The average salary of category five is more than Rs97,000 and the maximum is salary is more than Rs1,52,000. The average salary of category six is more than Rs1,18,000. And the maximum salary is more than Rs2,02,000. The average salary of category seven is more than Rs1,41,000 and the maximum is more than Rs2,09,000. The average salary of category eight is more than Rs1,72,000 and the maximum is more than Rs2,78,000.

The maximum salary of the category regular pilot, first officer is Rs20,00,000 and the minimum salary is more than Rs7,50,000 per month. The monthly average gross salary of the regular pilot first officer is Rs7,91,287 rupees. The maximum salary of the category contractual pilot, first officer is Rs14,00,000. The monthly average gross salary of contractual pilot, first officer is Rs7,54, 380 per month. Along with this, free air travel facility is available to all permanent and temporary employees of PIA along with free medical facility for employees and their spouses, children and parents.

The CEO PIA can use two vehicles at a time, one of which is 2000 CC and the other is 1800 CC and having limit of consuming 400 liters of fuel monthly. The company pays for the repair of one vehicle, one driver is also provided by the company, while for the other driver, Rs. 15,000. While, Rs11,520 is paid for repairing 1800 CC vehicle and 432 liter fuel vehicle for directors and Rs14,400 for driver. For General Managers, a 1300 CC vehicle along with 360 litre fuel, Rs9,360 for vehicle repair and Rs5000 fro driver. All PIA’s Directors and General Managers are provided with vehicles. (M.Awais)
