SSP Khairpur Samiullah Soomro on Saturday contacted the Punjab forensic laboratory in Lahore for the early release of DNA test report of 10-year-old maid Fatima Furiro, who was allegedly raped and murdered by her employer in Ranipur area over a month ago. Sources said that the SSP had said that since the report was to be used in the challan as an evidence, therefore, it was required as soon as possible. They disclosed that the lab’s administration, on the other hand, had assured the SSP that the report would be sent to him in a day or two.

The death of the minor girl, daughter of Nadeem Ali Tharro, resident of village Ali Muhammad Tharro, Khanawahan, near Mehrabpur, district Nausheroferoz had come to light after a disturbing video surfaced on social media. It showed seriously injured minor lying on a floor while Pir Asad Shah Jeelani, her employer, sleeping on his bed close to her. She can be seen in the video struggling to stand up but soon collapses. The incident shocked the nation which called for justice in the case.
