Speakers at conference call for continued struggle for Kashmir’s freedom Breaking

February 12, 2025

Speakers at the youth conference stated that the Kashmiri nation will continue its struggle until it achieves freedom from Indian occupation.  The conference organized by the Kashmir Email Forum called for renewed commitment and expressed confidence that the struggle for Kashmir will ultimately succeed, emphasizing that the youth must step forward and actively contribute to this cause. Hurriyat leader Zahid Safi was the chief guest at the event.

Chairman of the Kashmir Email Forum Raja Fazil Tabassum, Professor Raja Umair, and young ambassadors from various universities also spoke during the event.  Zahid Safi said that the struggle for Kashmir’s freedom would not stop until the goal is achieved. Thousands of Kashmiris have sacrificed their lives in this fight, and women have been subjected to atrocities. Zahid emphasized that the youth must play an active role in this ongoing struggle to help ensure its success.

He further urged the Indian government to fulfill the promises made at the United Nations. The international community must ensure the right of Kashmiris to self-determination by facilitating a plebiscite. Zahid Safi also expressed gratitude to the Government and people of Pakistan for their unwavering solidarity with the Kashmiri people, especially on Kashmir Solidarity Day.  Raja Fazil Tabassum called on the youth to actively contribute to the success of the One Million Kashmir Email Campaign, considering it a timely initiative that must be continued in universities and colleges across the country.

He affirmed that the day is not far off when Pakistan's youth, through this campaign, would awaken the international community and witness the dawn of freedom for the Kashmiri people. He also urged India to take a lesson from Israel and respect the right of Kashmiris to their freedom.  During the event, a large group of youth sent an email to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, urging the international body to facilitate the right to a plebiscite in Kashmir.
