The New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency (SIA) has conducted searches at nine locations across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).According to Kashmir Media Service, the raids were carried out by SIA personnel, accompanied by Indian paramilitary forces and police, at several residential premises in Islamabad and other districts of the territory.

An SIA official claimed that the searches were conducted in connection with a 1990 double-murder case. During the operation, the agency reportedly seized documents and other material from the premises that were searched.The SIA, which has been reinvestigating several old violence-related cases, claimed that the latest searches were part of its efforts to bring closure to pending cases dating back to the 1990s. Further details regarding the recoveries made during the searches are awaited.
