Showbiz stars saddened by passing of legendary Talat HussainBreaking

Condolences poured in from the Pakistani showbiz industry after news emerged of the passing of legendary actor and director Talat Hussain on national media.  The celebrated actor died at the age of 83 Sunday morning after a prolonged illness in Karachi. He had been battling dementia and dealing with a chest infection.  Actor Javed Sheikh expressed grief over Talat’s demise, saying he was saddened by the loss. Sheikh emphasised that Talat was not just an artist but also a very noble person. "Among all the artists in Pakistan, he had the most knowledge," Sheikh remarked.  He recalled listening to Talat Hussain's voice in cinemas during their early days and spending his initial years with him on radio and television.  Sheikh praised Talat's unique portrayal of characters in English and Urdu films and noted that his name was recognised in the UK and Indian industries as well.

He concluded by saying that an artist like Talat Hussain could not be found in the region and prayed for Allah to grant him a place in paradise. Notable actor, director, producer and screenwriter Usman Peerzada expressed sorrow over the death of Talat Hussain.  He said no one would ever touch the heights the veteran actor had reached. In his condolence message, Peerzada prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant solace to the bereaved family members in this moment of grief. In his condolence message, Ahmed Shah, the president of the Karachi Arts Council, expressed grief over Talat Hussain's death.  He highlighted Talat Hussain's deep connection with the Pakistan Arts Council, noting that he remained part of the governing body and mentored several actors. Shah described the late actor as an educated man and a philosopher.

Senior actor Sohail Ahmed expressed profound sorrow over Talat’s passing, noting Talat Hussain's great affection for his juniors. Ahmed described him as a person of immense kindness and lamented that his death had left a huge void in the world of TV. He expressed gratitude for the moments spent with Talat Hussain and considered himself fortunate to have earned his love. Ahmed praised Talat's work, which he said was still cherished in their hearts. He urged people in showbiz to follow in Talat Hussain's footsteps, emphasising that Talat never compromised on the quality of acting and brought pride to Pakistani television worldwide. Actor Bushra Ansari expressed deep sorrow over Talat Hussain's death. She called it a huge loss for the Pakistani showbiz industry.
