District and Sessions Court Islamabad on Saturday extended interim bail of former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in a case pertaining to hatching conspiracy against former president Asif Ali Zardari. Judicial Magistrate Dr Sohail Thaheem conducted hearing of the case. Sheikh Rashid appeared in court along with his lawyer Sardar Shehbaz and others. The court inquired about Rashid and his health. The former minister said he was not feeling good. In the court, Rashid's lawyer Sardar Shehbaz said his senior counsel Sardar Abdul Razzaq had to advance arguments but he was busy in the high court election.
He said he would give arguments at the next hearing. The Awami Muslim League chief prayed to the court to fix next date for hearing in the case after Ramazan. The court extended interim bail of Rashid. The court adjourned the hearing after calling for arguments on the next hearing date. It should be noted that a case had been registered against Rashid with Abpara police station. The senior politician in a statement had accused Asif Zardari of attempting to assassinate PTI founder.
