Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the chief of the Awami Muslim League, addressed the media outside the Rawalpindi court, asserting that the current government is on the brink of collapse. He expressed confidence that the government's "last days have come," stating, "Some have fractured, some have lost their motion." Rasheed, who has been attending multiple court cases, shared his own health struggles, remarking, "A cowardly man dies 100 times while a strong man dies once." He criticized the government's management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), accusing them of treating it like personal property. "Sell your flats instead of PIA; start with your flats first," he urged, emphasizing the need for accountability.
He painted a bleak picture of the economy, highlighting stagnation in real estate due to tax issues and claiming that construction activities have come to a halt. "Wherever a society is being built, the crane is standing still," he noted. Further addressing international relations, Rasheed voiced strong discontent towards China, stating, "I will never forgive China for what it has offended." He rejected the Foreign Office's reassurances and criticized the government's approach to foreign relations. He asserted that the people of Pakistan stand with China, while also acknowledging the global implications of the upcoming U.S. elections. Rasheed concluded by stating, "24 crore people reject their actions," foreseeing a significant public backlash against the government.
