Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed said on Monday he was optimistic that he would win the case filed against him by the government that prevented him from going abroad for Umrah. Speaking to reporters outside the Rawalpindi bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC), he said so far, the government had not submitted any reply in the case.

“Now the court has putt off the case after the vacations,” he said, and added, “I am fully optimistic that I will win the case and will go for Umrah.” Rasheed said never ever in the past, he was barred from travelling abroad.
