Police have arrested seven suspects allegedly involved in narcotics and liquor-related offences during separate operations conducted across the district, police said on Saturday. According to a police spokesman,teams from Cantt and City Ahmedpur East police stations launched a crackdown on liquor sellers and arrested two suspects and recovering 45 litres of liquor from their possession.

In separate operations,police teams from Baghdad-ul-Jadeed, Dhor Kot,City Yazman and City Hasilpur police stations arrested five suspects allegedly involved in drug trafficking,the spokesman said. During the raids,police recovered 3.35 kilograms of hashish and 50 grams of crystal meth from the suspects,he added. Further investigation was underway.
