The Senate session was adjourned Friday for an indefinite period following a noisy protest from the members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over non-issuance of the production orders of Azam Swati. The session started under the chairmanship of Sadiq Sanjrani—the Senate chairman. He asked the members of the opposition to sit on their seats. “Let the agenda proceed, or I will adjourn the session otherwise,” he said to the protesting members. Earlier, a motion for the establishment of a secretariat to solve the problems of Baloch students in the Senate secretariat was approved. The motion was approved on the directions of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
