As the Holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak approaches, security has been put on high alert in Lahore. According to a police spokesperson, mobile squads continued strict checking at entry and exit points of the city. Police are alert at all entry and exit points of the city and strict checking is ongoing. As many as 180 accused involved in various crimes were arrested during checking.
During the mobile squads’ checking, 12 court absconders, 24 declared criminals and 41 habitual criminals were also arrested. The accused were arrested with the help of e-app. The mobile squad took action against 90 other accused for hiding their identities and suspicious activities and handed them over to the relevant police stations.
The records of more than 41,013 people were checked at checkpoints with the help of e-police app. More than 5476 vehicles and motorcycles were checked at the entry and exit points. The e-police app installed at the entry and exit points of the city is being used to identify violators and criminals.
