Security forces in Balochistan have successfully intercepted a significant smuggling operation, seizing a variety of contraband items. At a checkpoint in Kalat-Quetta, forces stopped and searched a container, discovering smuggled goods including 400 tyres, 250 cloth sacks, 500 blankets, as well as weapons and ammunition. In a separate operation conducted between June 9 and July 6 in the Gwadar-Turbat region, authorities confiscated 42 kg of ice meth and other narcotics. Additional seized items included gutka, cigarettes, betel nut, and nine goats. The anti-smuggling operations also resulted in the confiscation of smuggled clothing, utensils, Iranian petrol, and vehicle spare parts. The seized items will be handed over to customs officials for valuation. Security forces have reportedly cleared the Kuntani and Jewani areas of smugglers.
