Section of the motorway, connecting Peshawar to Islamabad (M-1), was closed for traffic from Peshawar to Chach Interchange on Thursday morning due to dense fog. Spokesman for the Motorway Police (MP), on the other hand, said that the purpose of closing motorways was to prevent accidents and protect the lives of motorists. 

He urged people to avoid travelling unnecessarily during fog, and use fog lights if it is really necessary.  He also advised people to avoid driving fast and keep distance from other vehicles.  The spokesman informed that information could be obtained from police helpline number 130 before starting journey.  Similarly, he said, updates could also be received from the MP’s official social media account.

Three people were seriously wounded in a collision between bus, car and Mazda near Makhdoom Pur Interchange on M4 on Thursday.  According to Rescue 1122, The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital, Kabirwala.  The department said that the vehicles were travelling from Lahore to Multan when they met with an accident.
