Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) has decided to start target-based-operations (TBOs) against illegal Afghan refugees living in Pakistan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday. Police sources said that these operations will be conducted in 48 Pashtun camps, while personnel from Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) will conduct combing operations against these illegal Afghan refugees. During combing operation personnel from intelligence agencies will used their verification software to identify status of Afghan refugees.
Police sources further said that during combing operation barriers will be placed and additional LEAs personnel will be deployed around these Pashtun camps to restrict the movement of people. All those Afghan refugees who are residing in these camps illegally will be repatriated after completion of necessary procedure. Police officials are optimistic that they will arrest some renowned criminals from these camps as they have credible information about presence of notorious criminals in these camps.
