Sargodha smog breaks 20-year recordBreaking

The air pollution in Sargodha has reached its peak, with the air quality index (AQI) crossing 250, the highest level in 20 years. This has led to a sharp increase in the number of patients with asthma, respiratory, throat, and lung diseases in hospitals. According to media reports, Dr. Sikandar Hayat Waraich, Senior Chest and TB Specialist at DHQ (Dr. Faisal Masood) Teaching Hospital, and President of PMA, said that air pollution is an attack on human health and that preventive measures are urgently needed. He advised citizens to avoid leaving their homes unnecessarily and to use clean masks when they do go outside. He also said that it is important to eat clean, washed fruits and vegetables, and to drink clean water or boiled water. Most of the patients at DHQ Teaching Hospital are suffering from respiratory, asthma, throat, and chest diseases, and doctors are recommending strict preventive measures to protect public health.
