In a significant development for Pakistan’s education landscape, Prime Minister National Council member Ali Sardar Khawaja announced that broad investments are set to be made in the country's education sector. The investment plan includes the establishment of new universities in Lahore and Islamabad, as well as a pioneering knowledge corridor between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.Speaking to the media, Khawaja outlined plans to establish an Early Neurodiagnostic Center aimed at benefiting every child in Pakistan.
He emphasized that the center would play a crucial role in enhancing the training and abilities of children across the country. "This initiative will help to identify developmental issues early on, allowing for better support and intervention," he said.Khawaja also highlighted the plans for expansion in Pakistan’s IT sector. A new back office has already been set up, with an aim to bring foreign exchange into the country and enhance the digital economy.
In addition, MoUs have been signed to establish National Incubation Centers in Faisalabad and Islamabad, further bolstering Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.Young Ali Sardar Khawaja, the son of Sarwar Muhammad Khawaja—who is a well-known figure in the UK’s education sector—also discussed the establishment of a branch of his father’s renowned educational institution in Pakistan. The institution currently operates 11 campuses in the UK, where over 40,000 students have been educated. At present, the institution serves 10,000 students.
