PTI social media activist, Sanam Javed, has been granted bail in the case involving the burning of police cars and assaulting law enforcement officers outside Zaman Park. The Anti-Terrorism Court, led by Judge Muhammad Naveed Iqbal, presided over the hearing and decided to release Javed from judicial remand. During the proceedings, the police sought an extension of Javed's judicial remand, but the court opted against further remand, allowing her release. The accused's lawyers confirmed the grant of bail and indicated that the release process is underway. The case, registered under police station Race Course with case number 410/23, alleges that Sanam delivered inflammatory speeches outside Zaman Park, encouraging workers to attack the police. The incident unfolded during the attempted arrest of the PTI chairman at Zaman Park.
Outside the court, Sanam Javed, informally addressing the media, dismissed confusion about her political affiliation, emphasizing support for Imran Khan. She stated, "On February 8, everyone should leave their homes to vote for Imran Khan, regardless of the election symbol and candidate." She expressed satisfaction at the perceived fear associated with her name, urging common citizens to be unafraid. She directed comments at Maryam Nawaz, stating, "Maryam, you are the daughter of three-time prime minister, have some courage. People are not being released from jails to avoid interference in the elections." Furthermore, she predicted Maryam Nawaz's departure, suggesting an impending exit similar to her father's, possibly for medical reasons.
