A budget allocation of Rs 187 billion has been set aside by the Punjab government for the police department in the 2024-25 budget. This amount remains unchanged from the previous year's budget. Sources said the police officials were expecting raise in the budget sensing the surging terrorism incidents. However, the government is going to maintain the last year's level of funding.
