Robbers deprived two families of hundreds of thousands rupees cash and gold jewelry worth millions of rupees in Tayyeba Colony of Sharqpur, police said on Wednesday. According to CCTV footage, 10 armed robbers break opened the doors and window panes of two houses. The robbers took the residents hostage at gunpoint and also tortured them for offering resistance. The robbers took away Rs900,000 cash, 16 tola of gold jewelry from the two houses. The police teams visited the scene of crime, collected the evidences and after registering a case into the incident have started investigations.
