A robber under police custody was killed in encounter with a gang in Okara.  According to details, the police was taking an under custody robber for recovery when his accomplices ambushed the police party in attempt to free him. An exchange of fire took place in which under custody accused was killed and attackers fled the scene. The police cordoned off the area after the incident and conducted search operation but no arrest could be made.
