A resolution has been submitted in the Punjab Assembly in support of the Operation Azm-e-Istehkam. The resolution, moved by PML-N lawmaker Hina Pervaiz Butt today (Monday), states that this House welcomes Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharifís approval to the Operation Azm-e-Istehkam. It holds out assurances about the provincial assembly is complete cooperation to the operation. The resolution adds that the provincial legislature assures the Pakistan military, police and security agencies of its full cooperation, emphasising the need for the federal and provincial governments to unite on this one-point agenda. The resolution details that the nation stands side by side with the Pakistan military and security agencies to eliminate the scourge of terrorism.It also calls for the implementation of all points of the National Action Plan in the true sense, concluding that a peaceful Pakistan guarantees a prosperous country.
