With return of 1586 illegal Afghan nationals returned to their country the other day, total number of returned immigrant climbs to 438,376 as repatriation of illegal foreign nationals continues in a dignified and safe manner. With Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar in chair, the apex committee of the National Action Plan (NAP) in a meeting on October 3, gave a deadline to all foreign nationals living illegally in the country until October 31 to leave voluntarily or face deportation. It should be mentioned here that the government of Pakistan was facilitating the illegal Afghans in the repatriation process at the Torkham and Chaman borders. Premier Kakar has given very clear instructions that there should be no manhandling of illegal immigrants during the repatriation process.
