On December 8, 2023, a total of 2,055 Afghan citizens bid farewell to Pakistan, marking a substantial step in the ongoing repatriation efforts. Among the returnees were 584 men, 426 women, and 1,045 children.

As of the mentioned date, 418,980 illegal Afghans have left Pakistan voluntarily. The repatriation process, executed on December 8, 2023, saw 232 families being transported back to Afghanistan in 124 vehicles. This concerted effort underscores the collaborative approach taken by both nations to address the issue effectively. The situation is dynamic, with the ongoing return of illegal Afghans defining the narrative of cooperation and adherence to legal processes between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Authorities continue to closely monitor and facilitate the repatriation efforts to ensure the well-being of those involved in the process.
