Religious scholars reject TTP's terrorism; unite for national unityBreaking

January 24, 2024

In a resounding response to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan's (TTP) recent encouragement of religious students to engage in acts of terrorism, prominent religious scholars from across the country have united in condemnation, stressing the importance of adhering to the constitution and laws of Pakistan. Renowned scholar Prof. Dr Abdul Rehman, while addressing the issue, asserted that Pakistan, established in the name of Kalima Tayyaba, strictly prohibits any individual or group from participating in armed operations without the explicit permission of the government. He vehemently declared that such terrorist activities are in direct violation of the constitution and laws of Pakistan, emphasizing that the nation is a fortress of Islam, and inciting or misleading students within an Islamic state is strictly forbidden. Maulana Dr. Abdul Nasir echoed these sentiments, characterising the menace of Khawarij as a longstanding challenge for the kingdom of Godfather Pakistan.

He commended the state institutions for successfully repelling the fitnah of Khawarij and called upon Pakistani students to resist the influence of these misguided elements. Urging students to contribute to the country's development and prosperity, he warned against falling prey to the nefarious purposes of the Kharijites who manipulate innocent minds for their own ends. In a separate reaction, Maulana Rahmatullah Qadri emphasized that Khawarij should recognize that not only the people of Pakistan but the entire world has grasped the true nature of their propaganda. He underscored the need for global solidarity against extremism, emphasizing that the world stands united in rejecting any form of terrorism.
