Rain with wind and thundershower is expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, Islamabad, southeast Sindh, northeast/south Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir during the next 12 hours. Isolated heavy falls is expected during the forecast period. Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning: Islamabad and Gilgit 21 degree centigrade, Lahore 26, Karachi 28, Peshawar 27, Quetta 20, Murree 16 and Muzaffarabad 25 degree centigrade. According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy weather with chances of rain-wind-thundershower is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Baramula and Leh.
Temperature recorded this morning: Srinagar, Anantnag and Baramula 19 degree centigrade, Jammu 26, Leh twelve, Pulwama and Shopian 18 degree centigrade. Meanwhile, heavy rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi inundated low-lying areas on Saturday. Water accumulated on roads after the rain. Murree and different parts of Azad Kashmir also experienced rain on Saturday. According to the Meteorological Department, more than 66 mm of rain was recorded in the twin cities so far. MD Wasa said that they were ready to deal with any kind of emergency situation.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain was likely to occur in various districts of Sindh from September 18 to 20. Rain with strong winds subsided the prevailing heavewave conditions in Jhang, Faisalabad, Okara, Renala Khurd and other Punjab cities. Monsoon currents are likely to enter eastern Sindh from this evening, which may bring intermittent thundershowers in Karachi division till September 20.
