Punjab police have decided to purchase 34 state-of-the-art quadcopters to strengthen its monitoring of terrorists, criminals, and pubic and political gatherings in the province.A spokesman of the Punjab police said that these quadcopters will be equipped with high resolution cameras, long range and will have capacity to take grenades.
The spokesman further said these quadcopters will play vital role in operations against dacoits of Kucha area and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel will also use these quadcopters in their operations. The spokesman said that an amount of Rs21,94,000 will be spent on purchase of one quadcopters while in total rupees seven crore and forty-five will be spent on purchase of new quadcopters.
The interested companies can register themselves for participation in bidding process till April 28, 2025. The tenders will be opened on the same and purchase process will be started. Police officials said that all these quadcopters will be purchased prior to end of current fiscal year.
