Punjab Musical night held at Lok MelaBreaking

Punjab Musical Night was organized on the last day of the ongoing Folk Mela at Folk Heritage Islamabad in which traditional songs of Punjab were presented. Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi and Director General Punjab Arts Council Muhammad Abrar Alam were the special guests in the musical night. On this occasion, Director General Punjab Arts Council Muhammad Abrar Alam also dressed the Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi with the turban of Punjab.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi said that the folk songs of Punjab have their unique place in the culture of the entire country, in which the traditions, simplicity and sincere love of the people of Punjab are hidden. The artists of Punjab have preserved their folk songs, their tunes and unique accents in a rich manner. Today's young generation is also benefiting from this, he added.

Director General Punjab Arts Council Muhammad Abrar Alam said that the Punjab Arts Council is also playing a significant role in promoting the culture of other provinces and federal units. During the Lok Mela, the citizens have shown special interest in the Punjab Pavilion and the youth have made Salafis in the Haveli model. Director Waqar Ahmed said that it is the honor of Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi to present the culture of Punjab in the Lok Mela and this was possible only with the hard work of the officers and officials.

Sain Zahoor, Aslam Lohar, Sain Riaz, Ruby Reshmaan, Afshan Zebi, Alisha Shehzad, Muhammad Hamza, Iram Abbasi and Simi Folk Dance Group performed in the musical night. Shagufita Khan performed the duties of host in the musical night. A large number attended the Punjab Musical Night.
