The Punjab government approved on Wednesday the "Apni Chhat Apna Ghar" project, covering 519 acres of land in five major cities, including Lahore. According to details, the identification of land in five cities has been initiated for the housing scheme for low-income homeless individuals. Under the supervision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a special session was held, briefing on the construction of model houses and monthly installment plans. An agreement had been reached with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP) for consultation on the designs of houses. The chief minister had directed the launch of the of the "Apni Chhat Apna Ghar" project near the cities. CM Maryam had ordered measures to prepare the best homes at the minimum cost.
