The process of deporting illegal residing foreign nationals from across Punjab is continuing as part of the government's ongoing enforcement campaign. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, a total of 36,545 foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens, have so far been deported from Lahore and other districts across the province. The spokesperson said that 504 illegally residing foreign nationals are currently being kept at designated holding points before their deportation.

Among those deported are 14,614 men, 7,234 women, and 14,697 children. The deported individuals include 11,124 people holding Proof of Residence (PoR) documents, 11,137 Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders, and 14,284 undocumented foreign nationals. Inspector General (IG) Punjab Abdul Kareem, directed all police formations to remain on high security alert and ensure the complete implementation of the government's policy regarding the removal of illegally residing foreign nationals from the province.

The IG Punjab stated that the Punjab Police is carrying out the deportation process in accordance with international laws and the government's approved policy, while ensuring that all legal and humanitarian standards are observed throughout the operation.
