The Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested five terrorists of a banned organisation during an operation on Friday. According to the CTD officials, the operation was carried out on a tip-off in Gujranwala and Dera Ghazi Khan. The accused were identified as Abdul Muqeet, Abid Waheed, Gul Zaman, Ramazan and Ikram. Explosives, weapons and material for making suicide jackets were also recovered from them. The arrest of the terrorists was made possible through interrogation from 33 suspects. As many as 66 suspected persons were arrested in 420 combing operations during the ongoing week. “No effort will be spared to take the miscreants involved in terrorism to their logical end,” the Punjab CTD vowed.
