Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ordered arranging cold water for the public in the scorching heat. Maryam Nawaz on Thursday also directed the administration in every city to arrange shades at the intersections. She ordered to install cold water, fans and coolers for passengers at every wagon stand, bus terminals and railway stations.

Cold water, fans, and air coolers must be installed for students and teachers at school summer camps, she directed. The Chief Minister instructed that, in view of the heatwave, citizens should not leave their homes unnecessarily. She instructed traffic police personnel should not keep motorcyclists standing unnecessarily in the scorching sun. Maryam Nawaz instructed not to stop bike riders in the sun if they are with their families.
