Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday visited Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Rawalpindi. Provincial Minister for Information Amir Mir accompanied the chief minister on the occasion. The CM reviewed the treatment facilities being provided to patients at the newly built emergency ward of the hospital. He also inquired after the patients and asked them as well as their attendants about the provision of free of cost medicines to them. The latter, however, complained to the chief minister about delay in their checkup and preparation of their X-ray reports. CM Naqvi ordered the doctors to check patients immediately, without any delay. He was infuriated when he found out that some doctors and paramedics were absent. He also ordered the provision of medicines to the patients free of cost. Similarly, the chief minister also directed that the registration of patients at the reception be done as early as possible. He also inspected the state of cleanliness at the hospital.
