On the direction of the Punjab chief minister, 80% work on the upgradation of the General Hospital, Lahore has been completed. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the emergency block of the hospital for two hours late last night in extreme cold and reviewed the progress of upgradation work. He said that two floors of the emergency block would be completed by January 20 while another two floors would be finished by Jan 31. The chief minister shook hands with the labourers and asked them about their job timings. He ordered to refurbish the front edifice of the emergency block. He gave instructions to the secretary of buildings and communications in this regard. CM Naqvi also reviewed the work on the biogas project and AC wiring. He ordered to accelerate the pace of construction activities.
