Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced to observe "Earth Hour" across Punjab on March 28 Saturday.In this regard, Maryam Nawaz Sharif appealed to the people across the province to observe Earth Hour. Lights will be switched off across Punjab from 8:30 to 9:30 pm on March 28.Secretary Environment has been appointed focal person to participate in the Earth Hour campaign.

Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb will monitor the Earth Hour campaign across the province.Maryam Nawaz said collective efforts are necessary to provide a safe and clean environment to the new generation.  Maryam Nawaz Sharif said the aim of the Earth Hour campaign is to raise public awareness of the safe use of energy. 

The efforts of the WWF to include the environment in the priorities are commendable, Maryam Nawaz said. She said the public should actively participate in the energy saving campaign.  Maryam Nawaz Sharif said youth should also take part in the energy conservation campaign around the world.
