Punjab CM criticizes Apex Court’s decisionBreaking

July 19, 2024

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz strongly criticized the Supreme Court’s decision, stating it is aimed at creating instability in the country. Speaking at the inauguration of the Model Bazaar in Township on Friday, Maryam Nawaz expressed her concerns that whenever the nation moves towards stability, certain individuals intervene to disrupt progress. She questioned the motives behind these actions, attributing them to a small group of people who impede the country’s development. She accused the Supreme Court, specifically naming Umar Ata Bandial, of rewriting the Constitution to benefit a particular individual, suggesting that this has led to the nation’s current struggles.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the Supreme Court’s actions favored PTI, granting them more than they even requested. Maryam Nawaz pointed out that the person responsible for the nation’s troubles is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail. She contrasted PML-N’s three terms of governance, marked by significant service, with what she described as the four years of unprecedented destruction under the previous administration. Nawaz Sharif, she noted, had severed ties with the IMF, while the same individual who reintroduced IMF involvement is now jailed.
