A newly-elected member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly supported by Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) was injured in an accident near Balakot on Tuesday. Munir Hussain Lughmani was travelling from Balakot to Dera Ismail Khan when his car collided head-on within another car near Balakot. Munir Hussain received injuries in the accident while his driver was seriously wounded who were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Munir Hussain was elected MPA from PK-36 Mansehra-I. Munir Hussain Lughmani had won the election by a margin of 4,660 votes. He had secured 35,074 votes while PML-N’s Syed Junaid Ali Qasim remained second with 30,414.
