November 18, 2024

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is intensifying preparations for a major protest on November 24, with reports indicating the creation of a specially equipped container for the event. The container, reportedly fitted with a sound system, conference room, washroom, and bedroom, will house key PTI leaders, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Speeches and coordination for the protest will be conducted from within this mobile headquarters. The preparations follow an earlier announcement by Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, on November 13, claiming that Imran Khan had given the final call for the November 24 protest. She stated that the protests would continue until their demands are met, leaving the nation to decide whether it wants to live in freedom or not. Chief Minister Mahmood Khan confirmed the preparations and the date, emphasizing that this protest is decisive and will not end until their demands are fulfilled.

Earlier statements by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Information Advisor, Barrister Saif, described the protest as a final, decisive action that would have significant consequences for the current government. He even suggested that the protest would be so impactful that it might cause prominent political figures to reconsider their positions. Statements made earlier by Gandapurat a rally in Swabi on November 9th echoed this sentiment, urging party members to prepare for a significant and determined protest. Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, is also reportedly actively involved in the protest preparations, holding meetings in Peshawar to coordinate mobilization efforts. Sources suggest she has instructed provincial assembly members to mobilize 5,000 workers each, while national assembly members are tasked with mobilizing 10,000.
