Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan has alleged that the government is picking up Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) legislators for the purpose of horse-trading and is offering them up to Rs3 billion for vote in support of constitutional amendment. Talking to media before the special committee meeting in Islamabad on Friday, Omar Ayub claimed the government did not have enough majority in the house and that is why it is offering huge sums to PTI MNAs and senators. He said that currently raids are being conducted on the houses of PTI members. “They are being tortured. Moreover, Zain Qureshi's wife was picked up at night from his residence,” he alleged. Many colleagues have been arrested and his house was also raided, Omar Ayub said. Omar Ayub said that he opposed the proposal to name Pakhtunkhwa instead of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that PTI is opposing the constitutional amendment.
