Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) backed independent candidate for NA-16 Abbottabad, Ali Asghar Khan won the general elections. According to the unofficial result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, Ali Asghar secured 1,04,993 votes while runner-up Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Murtaza Javed Abbasi got 86,276 votes. The voters’ turnout in the constituency remained 44.8%.
