Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to hold a large-scale public rally in Peshawar on December 7, coinciding with the initiation of a comprehensive development strategy for the provincial capital,says in media reports.Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Khan Afridi revealed these decisions during an important meeting of parliamentarians and elected representatives from Peshawar.

The gathering, which included current and former members of the provincial assembly, local representatives, and senior political leaders, focused on formulating a detailed development vision to address the city's longstanding challenges.A unanimous decision was reached to organize the significant public rally on December 7, which will serve as a platform to outline the provincial government's commitments to Peshawar's development. In parallel, the government has decided to convene a grand consultative meeting next week to finalize a mega development plan valued at Rs100 billion

.Addressing the participants, Chief Minister Afridi emphasized the pivotal role of Peshawar, stating, "Peshawar is our identity, our face, and the heart of the province. We will take all possible steps to restore its glory." He outlined key priorities for the proposed development initiatives, including the acceleration of mega projects, restoration of infrastructure, improved traffic management, enhanced cleanliness, beautification efforts, and the provision of essential public facilities.

The Chief Minister further explained that the forthcoming grand meeting will bring together relevant institutions, development experts, elected representatives, and administrative officials to develop a comprehensive blueprint for the city's transformation. He reaffirmed the provincial government's determination to resolve Peshawar's chronic issues and deliver tangible improvements in living standards.

According to Afridi, the planned development projects are expected to not only modernize the city's infrastructure but also generate substantial employment opportunities, contributing to the broader economic uplift of the region.The announcement underscores the provincial government's focus on addressing the infrastructural and civic challenges that have long plagued Peshawar, positioning the December 7 rally as a key event to rally public support and articulate a clear roadmap for the city's future development.
