A group of residents in North Nazimabad, Karachi took to the streets and raised slogans late Tuesday night, demanding the K-Electric administration to provide reasonable and scheduled load shedding. The agitated citizens protested outside the K-Electric office near the DC office. Upon the arrival of the protesters, the K-Electric administration closed the office doors. The protesters chanted slogans against K-Electric. They said that electricity remains absent for 14 to 16 hours daily. The citizens protesting said that even if a fault occurs, it takes several hours to rectify it. Load shedding is also happening outside the scheduled timings, causing severe difficulties for the people. Due to the intense heat, it has become extremely difficult for people to stay inside their homes. The prolonged power outages at night also prevent people from sleeping, affecting their economic activities. The protesters demanded that K-Electric provide reasonable and scheduled load shedding to the citizens suffering from this crisis.
