Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said issuing passports promptly to overseas Pakistanis is a top priority.Chairing a meeting along with Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain in Islamabad, he instructed that passports must not be issued to any criminal or wanted person.The meeting reviewed progress regarding obtaining Spanish resident cards for Pakistanis.

It was informed that passports and other documents will be issued to Pakistanis within a week before the start of registration to give legal status to illegal immigrants in Spain.Around fifteen thousand Pakistanis are expected to benefit from Spain’s scheme, along with citizens of other countries. The Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Interior for fully supporting Pakistanis residing in Spain.
