The Additional Chief Secretary has imposed a ban on the entry of private vehicles into the Civil Secretariat in Lahore, allowing only official government vehicles to enter the premises.According to media reports, under the new instructions, private vehicles will no longer be permitted access to the Secretariat. The TV channel reported that the decision has been taken due to serious parking problems inside the government complex. The Additional Chief Secretary has also directed that stickers be issued for authorised private vehicles under a controlled system.
This measure is intended to regulate movement and ensure better management of parking space within the secretariat. Authorities stated that the restriction has been introduced to address growing congestion, which has made it difficult to manage traffic and parking arrangements inside the premises. Officials added that the new system is expected to improve discipline and ease operational difficulties for government staff working in the secretariat.
