Armed men gunned down a prayer leader over property dispute and escaped the scene, police said on Saturday. According to details, the incident took place in Khairpur Daha area of Ahmedpur Sharqia in district Bahawalpur, where rivals sprayed bullets at opponent with whom they were in dispute over ownership of a piece of land. As a result of firing, a prayer leader identified as Hafiz Muhammad Rashid was killed on the spot and attackers fled the scene. The body was shifted to hospital and police after registering a case against the culprits started raids for their arrest.
