Weather in Lahore on Monday was cold and dry while the Met Office predicted that a powerful system would enter the upper and central parts of the country tomorrow (Tuesday), which would result in widespread rains in these areas, including Lahore. The Met Office said there would be a visible change in the weather following these rains, which would last until February 28. It predicted dry weather for the Punjab capital during the next 24 hours.
The minimum temperature in the city on Monday was recorded at 13 degrees Celsius while the maximum was expected to go up to 24 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. However, it said, thundershowers, accompanied by strong gales, were expected at a few places in western, north-western Balochistan, southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), southern and central Punjab either in the evening or tonight. The Met Office said that rain and snow over the hills were likely in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Mastung, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Kalat, Chaghi, Noshki, Khuzdar, Barkhan, Sibbi, Harnai, Zhob and Musakhel.
The minimum temperature in Quetta was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius, while 5 degrees Celsius in Kalat, 3 degrees Celsius in Ziarat, 9 degrees Celsius in Zhob, 14 degrees Celsius in Sibbi, 19 degrees Celsius in Turbat, 15 degrees Celsius in Naukundi, 12 degrees Celsius in Chaman, 18 degrees Celsius in Gwadar and 19 degrees Celsius in Jewani.
