Powerful storm and heavy rain caused widespread destruction in the tourist district of Swat, bringing relief from intense heat but leaving at least 12 people injured in various incidents.  According to rescue officials on Tuesday, strong winds and thunderstorms hit several areas including Haji Baba, Main Bazaar and Banr, where walls collapsed and numerous trees were uprooted.

The severe weather conditions also disrupted electricity supply in many localities.  Several shops and buildings were damaged due to the intense storm, creating fear and panic among residents. Rescue authorities confirmed that 12 injured people were provided first aid before being shifted to nearby hospitals.  Officials continue to assess the damage while restoration work is underway in affected areas.
