The electricity price is likely to be dropped by Rs2.20 per unit on Thursday. A petition seeking the decrease in the electricity price on account of fuel cost adjustment for the month of December 2022 has been submitted to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra). The Nepra will conduct hearing on the petition on January 30 next, and it will approve the cut to the electricity prices. The drop in the electricity price will not be applicable to the K-Electric and Lifeline customers.
