Pakistan's National Highways and Motorway Police successfully thwarted a significant smuggling attempt on the M1 Motorway near Swabi on Friday. Acting on crucial intelligence, they intercepted a large quantity of non-customs-paid goods being illegally transported from Quetta to Peshawar. According to a statement issued by the Motorway Police spokesperson, Sector Commander M1 Shafiqur Rehman received confidential information prompting swift action. He promptly deployed a team to intercept the targeted bus, leading to the apprehension of the driver and conductor for further investigation. The confiscated goods, estimated to be worth lakhs of rupees, included a diverse range of items such as biscuits, juices, dairy cream, plastic bags, waste coats, and even DC inverters. Following standard legal procedures, the seized goods were handed over to the relevant authorities.
