Police in Arifwala have failed to arrest the man who raped a six-year-old boy in the jurisdiction of Ahmad Yar police station four days ago. Despite the fact that a case has been registered, the perpetrator of the crime is still at large. The child’s father has said that the man roams freely in front of his eyes, but the police are reluctant to take him into custody. “I have gone to the police station several times and have beseeched the SHO to put the man behind bars, but he has not taken any action as yet,” he has lamented. He has appealed to the Punjab chief minister and the police high-ups to order the SHO to arrest the rapist immediately. The SHO, on the other hand, has said that a case has been registered and raids are being conducted for the arrest of the man.
